MY CHRISTMAS CHICKEN//BY: Olukunle oluwatobi & Ogunsuyi Opeyemi

Vol. 17.12.33
credit:google

I have watched closely the life of a chicken, especially the one but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10 KJV)

credit:google
I rear and fed intensively for Christmas. Such chicken’s lifestyle is mainly composed of daily feeding at my expense. However, we are both at parallel mindset: the chicken eats with delight daily, fattening and rejoicing at its owner’s benevolence while I patiently feed it intensively waiting for the day of Christmas for it to go to the slaughter. This interesting but paradoxical illustration reminds me of those who live outside Jesus Christ, who live a riotous lifestyle, enjoying the sinful pleasures of this world offered by the Prince of this world-Satan, thinking such pleasures will be forever, not knowing the Devil has nothing to offer
Proverbs 16:25 KJV ‘There is a way that seemth right unto men but the end thereof are the ways of death
Furthermore, although there is a way that may seems right to a man, it might seem as if he is making the best decisions, It might look as if he is surrounded with the right set of people, but the truth is if he is not in alignment with God’s word and will, no matter how his life looks right to the world, the end is destructive.
It is well said that a man can never eat his cake and have it. Satan is the Prince of this world and he is an expert in deceiving man because he has been on earth before we were created. The only leverage a man can have over the devil is to give his life to Christ and thereafter, become the son of God; having the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. Undoubtedly, a man without Jesus Christ is vulnerable and can easily be deceived, swindled and blindfolded by the devil. Therefore, never should a man think that he can eat with a long spoon with the devil, for he will only be deceiving himself.  Guess what! Those who are being deceived by Satan are not always aware that they are in error; that’s Satan for you! For the day such a man knows, is his day of deliverance.  Like the popular saying goes, ‘a man’s madness begins to get cured the day he realizes that he is no longer in a normal state of mind.
Beloved, let us search our hearts to really know its state. Let us be sure that we are really on the right way and that we are not being deceived by the devil. For we cannot love the pleasures of this world and claim to love God.

Matthew 6:24 KJV No man can serve two masters for either he will hate the one and love the other or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon

1 Corinthians 5: 7 KJV Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us

John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10 KJV)

This is another sincere call to all who are presently enjoying the pleasures of this sinful word, it is more like a chicken being fed for the day of slaughter. A Yoruba adage says the love the owner has towards his chicken does not go beyond to feed it well to be big enough to give him enough meat when slaughtered. In order words, the end goal of much intensive chicken rearing is to kill for food.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10: 10 KJV)

If God has touch our heart through this write-up and wish to give your life to Jesus Christ, please pray thus:

God, I thank you for your love for me,
Thank you for sending your son-Jesus Christ to die for my sins
I believe with my heart today that Jesus died for my sins and by His blood I am washed clean,
And I confess today that Jesus Christ is Lord over my life and all things
Jesus Christ, come into my life and reign forever more and
Give me the grace to love and follow you till the end
Thank you Jesus
Amen

If you have taken this prayer, you are blessed because;

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance (Luke 15:7 KJV)

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).

Purified by God's word // BY: SONIA O. UMURHURHU JESSA

Vol. 17.11.32

credit:google.com
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.  Psalms 12:6 KJV

God's word is the purest any one can think of and its pure nature makes it unique over all. Dearly beloved, our God is Holy, pure, without stain for His eyes cannot see iniquity (Habakkuk 1:13). God is Holy and this Holiness reflects in his actions; in whatever He does, you see Holiness. God is so dependent and committed to fulfilling His words that when He speaks, His words come to pass (Isaiah 55:11), making God the God of yes; yes when He says Yes and no, when He says no. Scriptures puts it this way, His premises are ye and Amen. (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Our topic says Purified by God's Word. The word purified means made pure, made clean, free from flaws, free from imperfections. When a person or thing is pure, it is free from dirt, impurities, clean and useful.

 Oh! I am thirsty,
but there is water in the gallon, why not drink it.
I can't drink that water, it is dirty, and it is not clean.
True, please don't drink it, it is unsafe and dangerous for your health.

This means for something to be useful, it has to be clean. The usefulness of something is determined by its fitness, pureness, cleanness and flawlessness.

God's word
There is power in the word, His words is the strongest force that cannot be withstood by any. .for God's word spoke creation into being. Let there be (Genesis 1), Mountains melt before Him (Psalms 97:5); at the sound of His voice the whole earth trembles, His voice breaks the ciders of Lebanon (Psalms 29), His words make decrees and they are established (Psalms 148; Isaiah 55:11). Ones the Lord speaks, it is done. How majestic, how powerful is your word oh Lord! Your voice oh Lord is powerful, it is majestic. (Psalms 29:4).

For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrew 4:12 KJV)

God's word is living.

What do I mean by living? It gives it the feature of having life and not just having life but active, it means it is existing, and is working everyday (Psalms 30:5; 119:140). You can't be disappointed as far as its God's word, it means it is in use, and once it is applied or used, it works, doesn't and can't fail. 100 percent certain!

  God's word is powerful

Power is the working ability. It is with power that work is accomplished. To tell you how powerful God’s word is, have you ever imagined how you were formed, carried in the womb for nine months...oh! We were so uniquely formed, kept safe in the womb .God's words have such power that it brought the whole earth into being, even you and me. How much more cleaning you and making you whole (Ephesians 5:26).

  God's word is God Himself

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1 KJV).

God Himself is His word, so once God's word is spoken, know that God himself is the one speaking. His words brought creation into being, it means God brought creation into being. Since He (God) is His word. Purified by God's word, means clean or made whole by God himself. I am not talking about just anybody making you clean but God Himself. For through God's love for us he sent His one and only son, who died for us and purified us from all sins. According to John 1:1, if in d beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Therefore, God himself is actually the one who died for you and me through Jesus since He is the word (And the word was God). Hallelujah!!!

Dearly beloved, until God's word purify you, you are counted as impure, dangerous to your health.

 Faith in His words
You can’t be purified, nor be saved except you believe in His word; to be certain that His word can make you pure.

For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16 KJV). Believe God's word today for it is only His word that can save your soul (James 1:21). It is simple; believing in your heart that God sent Jesus to die for your sins and confessing with your mouth, yes Lord I believe in You, You are the Christ, savior of the word the son of the Living God and I welcome you into my heart today that you cleanse me, make me pure from all sins that I may live a perfect life, becoming full heir and partaker of Your kingdom, to reign and live for You For ever and ever, Amen. Thank You Father for hearing me in Jesus Name, Amen.

God bless you.

LIVING BREAD - SERIES 3 //BY: NEJO HARRISON ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP

Vol. 17.10.31

credit:google.com

Worship is the expression of reverence shown to one considered to be in position of honor. It is commonly attributed to deities, it is a way of adoring a god. God so much desires the worship of His subjects and His jealousy is revealed in this act when it is given to other gods besides Him. He will tolerate no man to bow to other gods but that all men might worship Him alone. The fact that God seeks true worshippers is a clear indication that there are both right and wrong worship that are acceptable and not acceptable respectively. God is firm in His operations as He has unwavering conditions that His worship must meet before it can be considered acceptable; he is not at the mercy of taking whatever man brings, but His requirements must be met. He is not disadvantaged to need man's worship desperately as to take whatever is offered to Him. God turns down sacrifices and accepts when His standard is met, as He turned down Cain's sacrifice but accepted Abel's. He was clear in giving specific requirements for which sacrifices were to be offered throughout scriptures, and who ever chooses to come to him must be willing to adjust to suit these conditions.
What was it that made the sacrifice of Abel ascend heaven with a sweet smell even when it was carried out without any formal guidance through knowledge? What therefore determines God's preference for a man's sacrifice that makes Him honor and accept one but reject another? The following are considered important.
THE HEART: The ability of God to see beyond human's beautifully appealing face down into his heart and know the intent therein and his motives for his actions has been one of the keys to maintaining rightness. Otherwise, those with beautiful faces having negative motives would have gotten the applause and approval; even the great Prophet Samuel nearly fell into this trap of deception considering the convincing look of Eliab saying, certainly God's anointed is here before me (1 Samuel 16:6). In other words, he gave him his approval as God's anointed until God interrupted his judgement which was based on the outward appearance, he was good outwardly but inwardly did not meet God's requirements. 1 Samuel 16: 7 KJV: ‘But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart’. God does not look elsewhere other than the heart of man, the seat of his thoughts, from where issues of life that determines one's act are generated.
Many have labored on their outward parts with decays on the inward part, thinking God can be persuaded with their lips while their heart seek after other things.  They praise him with their lips but not with their heart (Isaiah 29:13). Prophet Ezekiel wrote; ‘And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. (Ezekiel 33:31 KJV), meaning that they might sometimes do good but it is not out of love but are after the selfish gain that will proceed from it. They might gain applause from many but the one who searches the heart says, it is unacceptable

THE BODY: There is a strong connection between the body of man and his worship. The body of man plays a big role in his relationship with God. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, that is where He dwells, we house the Spirit of God (1 Corinthians 6:19), ‘And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV). Our spiritual sacrifice cannot be offered without our body in check Romans 12: 1 KJV. ‘I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service’.

Apostle Paul beseech the church on the need to present their body to God a holy sacrifice, lifting it to God in total surrender; that is, ‘it is no longer mine, you own it, you have bought it with a price, your blood, therefore it is no longer mine but yours, and I hereby present it to you as living sacrifice’. It is not a dead sacrifice as we do not need to be dead physically to lay the body. We are living but dead, fulfilling Galatians 2:20, that though, we be dead (dead to sin) yet we live, dead to the old life but now alive in Christ. We are therefore beseeched to present our body to him, knowing it is no longer ours but His, we must live with this in mind. It must be holy, undefiled, set apart unto God. This, he called our reasonable and acceptable act of worship. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper WORSHIP (Romans 12: 1NIV). This is very important and our body must be reverenced unto God.

SPIRITUALITY
John 4: 23-24 KJV. ‘But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth’.
It's the desire of God to restore man to the Spiritual communion he (man) lost in Eden. Several attempts had been made to manage through but it all did not fulfil His desire until God through His Spirit brought us back into that communion through Jesus Christ. God is spirit, this is emphatic and spirits only fellowship with spirits on spiritual basis and take spiritual worship items.
What interest did God have in the killing of animals presented on the altars by the priest for the people? God had no pleasure in all of these but only the bloody part of the animal, the animal stands as the carrier of the sin of men and the blood is demanded by God, meaning it is the life of it (for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof. (Lev 17:14 KJV) that God wants to see, while the other remains here on the earth. God is Spirit, we must embrace this and shift our attention from physical objects of worship to the life of the Spirit. No physical article of worship must be idolized as it is the Spirit of God in them that make them effective in breaking yokes. Whatever is not spiritual is not spiritual but carnal and to be carnal minded is enmity with God and cannot please Him.

ATTITUDE: There is a required attitude God demands in us when we offer our worship, our disposition matters. God does not want to appear beggarly. It is an honor to worship, it is a privilege to be among His countless worshippers. Luke 19:40 KJV says, ‘And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out’. Some of the attitudes God wants include;
1. Humble spirit: He desires that we present it humbly not boasting of our work but His grace (Luke 18:9-14)
2. Cheerfulness: He wants us to come cheerfully with joy not grudgingly as one compelled, but with a good will. He loves cheerful offering givers.
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7(NIV).
3. Brokenness: Offerings could be offered to appease God of our wrong doings and in doing this, a heart of sorry must be shown and godly sorrow must grip our heart, His sacrifice is a broken spirit (Psalm 51:17, Jonah 3:6-8).
God is more interested in us than the physical materials we bring, he looks out for the state if the heart, our little can only be much if our life is right, that is why the woman who have the least with a good life got God's approval ahead those with fat offerings. Present yourself unto God holy and acceptable, for this is your reasonable sacrifice.

GOD BLESS YOU

Vol. 17.9.30

Let us start by saying that every genuinely born again man/woman is built on the foundation of grace, as salvation is not what you merit as a Christian but just by grace. Therefore, without grace, Christianity will only be full of shame and disgrace.
What are we trying to illustrate? Titus 2:11-15 clearly states that:
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world: looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our savior Jesus Christ: who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise you.”
And
“Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved”Ephesians. 2 vs 5.
According to the scriptures above, the first thing mentioned is the grace of God and salvation. Our God is a God of all grace. Grace and God cannot be separated. John 1 vs 1 says “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.” To paraphrase- in the beginning was the Grace and the Grace was with God and the Grace was God. Vs 4, in him was life; and the life was the light of men. Grace through Jesus Christ gave birth to genuine salvation. Permit to say that one of the manifestations of grace was the birth of Christ into this sinful world. That is, before the existence of Christ on earth, there has been establishment of God’s grace in heaven. It’s the grace of God that appeared to all men through Jesus Christ that gives salvation. In other words, salvation through Jesus Christ was birthed through the unmerited favor of God; Grace. Hence, no one on earth can be save by his power.
What then is Grace?
Grace in the general context, is an attractive quality of movement that is smooth, elegant and controlled. But according to the scripture, grace in a simple language is defined as unmerited favor.

Ephesians 2 vs 8; For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  9; Not of works, lest any man should boast.10; for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.  11; wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Sin has made man an article of trade since when man sinned against God through Adam, since then, God sought to and has reconciled man to Himself- that's grace. Grace not only set man free from bundage of sin but made man free by clearing his sin-records. When Jesus said it is finished, it means our debt are completely paid. Man became God's heritage by grace and no longer under the devil. 1 Peter 5 vs 3. Therefore, if salvation is not what we merit, but by grace, what other benefit comes with salvation?
Isaiah 53 vs 5 highlights another vital benefit of grace. How that through the chastisements of He [Jesus Christ], whom through salvation came to this world, we receive divine healing.
“…AND BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED…”
I wouldn’t know how the translation of that particular scripture is going to be, “without His stripes”, May be death will always have being the other of the day. Christ brought healing from the soul disease of condemnation which man received after he fell at the Garden of Eden. Thus, the severed connection/fellowship between man and God was healed by Jesus Christ and thus man can approach God with confidence again just like it was at Eden.
Another important dynamics of the grace through Jesus Christ is the access to fellowship with the father. Emphatically speaking, it is through the love of the father [GOD] that grace through the son [JESUS CHRIST] was initiated to this world which open the door of fellowship to the father through the Holy Spirit.
Invariably speaking, we (Christian) claim to know the truth but the devil is becoming wiser to make the truth that we think we know appear as a deceit. It is the grace doctrine of salvation through Jesus Christ that makes us feel very reluctant in doing those sinful acts of the devil, in which we were used to before salvation. That is why a Christian should find it difficult to commit sin; not because he don’t know how to sin, but because there is an unmerited favor (grace) ignited upon his life at the point of their salvation that makes sinning difficult.  However, haven known and understood the benefits that comes with the grace of God at redemption, knowing that there is also an high priest passed into the heavens, an advocate, an intercessor, should we now say that if someone receive salvation, and he commit sin, the atonement for the blood of Christ will automatically cleanse both the sin he had confessed and the one he will still commit? Does a believer who sin needs to ask for repentance or not? Is once saved forever saved?
First, lets clarify that the slogan ‘once saved is forever saved (OSFS)’ holds true if we stop at saying that a believer needs not give his life to Christ repeatedly- as some believers often do when they backslide. We only have one life to give, why give it repeatedly? What then is the faith of a backslider-repentance; he is expected to genuinely repent of his sin, forsake them and find his way back to the presence of God (Galatians 6:1-5,Hebrews 4:14-16, James 5: 16, Revelations 3:1-3). Therefore, when the concept of OSFS goes to the level of saying a believer who sins require no need for repentance, it becomes an error.
Spirituality is not an excuse for mediocrity, and Christianity is not an excuse for stupidity. Just as there is a Grace that loves and forgives also the Grace loves and chastises. Christianity is not one of the religion that present to you the pleasure of the world or the sweetness of it thereof, rather teaches grace, love discipline, correction and repentance. Every Christian rides on the wings of the Grace of God and also enjoys the benefit thereof. If therefore Grace is what we enjoy in Christianity today, what are the ‘don’ts’ in Grace?
Romans 8 vs 1 says:
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

It is one thing for you to be in Christ Jesus, it is another thing for you to walk in the Spirit. That is, you can be in Christ Jesus and not walk in the Spirit, but you can’t walk in the Spirit without first be in Christ Jesus. HOW? Because it is one level of grace that qualities you to be in Christ, while walking in the Spirit requires beyond that. So, you can’t just conclude that because you’ve given your life to Christ that you can’t still be condemned if you don’t continue in the spirit, NO! Living by the Spirit is the only guarantee for freedom from condemnation and spirituality doesn’t condole any form of iniquity or sin. [See The Quiver vol. 17.7.29: No Condemnation to those who remained in Christ //By: Yusuf Gbenga Ayodele. http://dquiver4changeoftaste.blogspot.com.ng/2017/07/no-condemnation-to-those-who-remained.html for more details]

                Secondly, we can see in John 15 vs 5, how that Jesus Christ lovely encourage anyone that falls from Him [the Vine;
I am the vine, you are the branches: He that ABIDES in me and me in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me, you can do nothing.
With all sincerity and simplicity, this denote that it is very possible for someone in Christ to fall off (backslide through sin), but the beauty of Christianity cannot be glorified in the fall of the person, rather if he still abides in Him (Christ). Christianity therefore is not a reason for mediocrity but for sincere and continuous walk with God and avenue for repentance if erred.
Also, in Revelation 12 vs 20, we saw how God warned a woman; Jezebel, who called herself a prophetess, teaching and seducing God servants to commit fornication. But beyond all that, in verse 21, God still gave her time to repent, WHY? In other not to be a cast away? Yes, because “God don’t have pleasure in the death of a wicked than for him to turn his ways and live”; Ezekiel. 18:23. Here in is the Father glorified.
Paul, an Apostle of Christ wrote to the church of God in Corinth (1 Corinthians) some vital instruction to stay and desist from their wrong deeds (fornication and sexual immoralities). Despite the fact that these people are people of God, Apostle Paul still went ahead, warning them to stay away from every form of iniquity in other not to end up in destruction. So, as a believer, if you are still toying with sin all in the name of “Grace”, you are only planning to end up the rest of your life in eternal damnation.
Moreover, what logical sense does this bring that when a born again Christian sin or go against the plan and will of God, does his relationship with God continues the same way? NO! Just that this generation is full of people who only want to listen to what will please them; which you can’t find in Christ (2 Timothy 3-4).
Finally, if you believe in ‘once saved is forever saved doctrine’, why will Jesus liken his coming back to that of a thief in the night? The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will be worthless if you claim that there is no need for repentance of any form of sin at any time. Beloved, be vigilant, be sober because your adversary, the devil is looking for whom to devour. My prayer is that may the Grace of God keep and preserve you to the end till His coming in Jesus name. AMEN.
Shalom

FROM THE ARCHIVE: GRACE: PURPOSE AND ABUSE //BY: NEJO HARRISON

Vol. 17.8.30

source: www.google.com
Definition: Grace simply is the undeserving favor of God to mankind. The New Testament described it with the word Charis, which expresses favor, goodwill and loving kindness granted by a superior to another. GRACE IS NOT EARNED, not a reward for work done. The first man the bible recorded to obtain favor was Noah... But Noah found grace (favor) in the sight of the Lord (Genesis 6:8 AMP); then Moses. In these two accounts, grace qualified them to do certain functions they naturally would not be able to. Moses was slow in speech, which automatically was not good for him to stand before Pharaoh, he also was a murderer, yet He was God's choice.

TYPES OF GRACE
There are two dimensions of grace I have discovered so far:
1. Saving Grace: This dimension of grace helps the unbeliever to come to Christ and become saved from hell and born into the kingdom of God. We must know there are some who wish they were saved, but still have not found the grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Our coming to Christ was by God, not because you were born into a Christian family.
2. Enabling Grace: This grace supplies the ability to live Christ honoring life. Living above sin is enabled by this grace. ‘But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weaknesses’ (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV)It empowers us to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and act according to His will and also helps us to fulfill our various callings and purpose. It sustains us and equips us to walk in a manner that pleases God and develop into the image of Christ.

Without grace, no one can be saved, without grace, no one can stay saved and without grace, no one can grow as a Christian. Grace is the oxygen that the Christian needs to breathe.

THE LAW AND GRACE, RELATIONSHIP AND DIFFERENCES
It is important we know that there are seven dispensations of the Bible also called Bible ages, characterized by changes in God's methods, relationship and dealings with mankind in relation to sin and man's responsibilities
These include:
  1. Dispensation of innocence: from the creation of Adam (Genesis 2:7) to expulsion from Eden (Genesis 3:26)
  2. Conscience: The eyes of man had been opened to the knowledge of good and bad, so conscience was the basis for judging man's behavior. This dispensation existed till the great flood (Genesis 7:11-23)
  3. Man in authority: Began with the eight that survived the flood and elapsed till the confusion of languages (Genesis 11:1-9)
  4. Dispensation of promise: from the call of Abram (Genesis 12:1-3) to the slavery of Israel in Egypt (Exodus 1:13-14).
  5. Dispensation of Law: From wilderness experience (Exodus 24) to the death of Christ (Matthew 28:50-51)
  6. Age of Grace: from Jesus' death to His return to take the Saints (1 Thessalonians 4:16)
  7. Millennium dispensation: between the reign of Christ over restored church for a thousand year and Satan wages against the Lord, this ends the seven ages (Isaiah 2:1-4, Isaiah 11, Revelation 20:1-4) and this leads to the great judgement, the great white throne.

The last three are of significance to this study...

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LAW AND GRACE.
Law was given through Moses, but Grace through Jesus Christ, we have to know that Mosaic LAW WAS GOOD... Romans 7:12. The law is holy, and so is the commandment holy, righteous and true, the Bible never showed the superiority of grace by negating the law. NO, they both are good enough to make the complete bible as both the old promises and new promises are relevant and applicable to our life today. Jesus speaking said, I never came to abolish the law, as many do today, BUT TO FULFIL IT. (Matthew 5:17). Jesus never elevated grace stepping on the law.
Scriptures states emphatically, THE LAW Is GOOD. (Romans 7:7)
The law tells us what to do, how to do it, the consequence for refusal, what God required of them, but was weak in that it does not empower man to achieve all these (Robert R. Kreger), it was also weak because it does not give much room for repentance and quick to pronounce judgement, so that called for a more superior one, Grace, which comes with the enabling power to fulfilling the law.

PURPOSE.
GOD'S GRACE IS INTENDED TO HELP US OUT OF SIN
With this in mind, God's grace is sufficient for us, everything necessary for us to live a pleasing and acceptable life to God is grace-packaged. God's grace is the means by which God reaches His loving hands to humanity to save them out of their sins and help them walk with Him only if they are willing to reach out their hands back to Him through faith in the Lord Jesus.

Peter three times denied Jesus, this looks worse compared to Judas' betrayal which was only once. But Peter found grace, while Judas was not accommodated to repent. Peter's repentance was so genuine that it was expressed with a cry. Peter repented and felt sorry, you see that grace does not glory in sin, rather, it helps us and accommodates us to repent.

Paul speaking in vs 9 of 2 Corinthians 12 NIV, saying, ‘But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weaknesses’ He had prayed to God between vs 4-8 that God would deliver him from the consuming messenger of Satan (Pride), ‘To keep me from becoming conceited because if these surpassingly great revelations’ (2 Corinthians 12:7), he prayed for help, so God's grace was said to be available to help him,

By this we know that grace is God's provision to reconcile man to Himself. Sin does not dis-communicate one from the family of God immediately, but we lose our relationship with God, His Communion is deterred and a point comes when we lose our salvation completely. Yes it is possible. Demas was a beloved in Colossians 4:14, but in 2 Timothy 4:10, he had returned back to the world for the love of the world. Judas was one of the twelve but the love of money made him lose out. God instituted grace to help us from sin, it is therefore an abuse of grace to believe ‘once saved, is forever saved’; we have seen bible examples of how people through grace, help of Holy Spirit and conscious effort were able to work out their walk with God.
So we are asked to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. (Philippians 2:12), it is conscious exercise with the provision of grace and the Spirit of God.

GRACE IS FREE BUT COST MUCH AND Hence, NOT CHEAP
That you were given a wristwatch free as a gift, does not imply that it was cheap, the giver might have purchased it with his hard earned money. Grace came to us free, but someone paid for it with his blood-his life (Leviticus 17:14). God went extremely, sending his beloved son to die a miserable death to take the penalties law could have condemned us to, Christ death shows how severe our penalties could have been. Grace was purchased for us free, we therefore should live a life that will demonstrate our gratitude to God and Jesus Christ not taking grace as a license to careless living. Whoever misuses grace will soon get to know it cost much after the expiration of grace dispensation by rapture or death and men pay for their life severely with their own blood. Many would wish they lived in the age of the law, where sin was addressed sin.

CONCLUSION.
Imagine then, the deep sorrow on the heart of God who lavishly poured His love out on us, only to have His people turn it to the very opposite of its intended purpose, rather than being a liberty and escape from sin, it became instead, a license to sin. The grace of God is so precious, therefore should not be abused, with the sense of falsely believing God is loose on his verdict concerning how we live our life regardless of our bold unwillingness to repent.
Remember He is still the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8). The loving father and the consuming fire.
