What a Christian is not
1. A Christian is not only known by name: if you like call yourself a Christian a million times, it does not make you one rather by your character and deeds, you show that you’re a Christian.  'By their fruit you shall know them' Mathew 7:2.
So does your character qualify you as a Christian? Selah
Prayer
Lord, help me to sincerely evaluate my character and make amends where necessary
2. A Christian is not an angel: A Christian is a mortal being with flesh and blood, flaws and weaknesses, emotions and reasoning who is working towards perfection daily by the grace of God.  If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall’. 1 Corinthians 10:12
How are you standing? Carefully? Selah!
Prayer
Lord, never let me loose sight of you like Peter did and started sinking
3. A Christian is not holier than God: The gospel ministry of Apostle Peter would have been greatly limited for trying to be holier than God for calling unclean what God has cleaned but thank God for the grace of God in his life that opened his eyes. ‘But the voice spoke again: “Do not call something unclean if God has made it clean’. Act 10:15.
How do you see a repentant sinner in your church? Selah!
Prayer
Lord, help me to work out my salvation with the right perspectives
4. A Christian is not an automatic citizen of heaven: There is nothing automatic about God's kingdom. It’s all a process. So being a Christian has simply positioned you on the path to forever in paradise but the final destination depends on what you do here on earth.  Holiness is the only guarantee of heaven.  ‘Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life’. Rev 21:27.
How are you living as a Christian? Selah!
Prayer
Lord, help me to live holy daily
5. A Christian is not lazy: I know you know this already but just to re-echo it. Never replace hard work for miracles. Miracles always come in the midst of work. ‘But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I’. John 5:17.
What are your values? Selah!
Prayer
Lord, help me to value hard work and bless the works of my hand by your mighty power in Jesus name
6 A Christian is not to use less of his brain: That you walk by faith and not by sight is not an excuse to be mentally lazy as a Christian but an avenue to maximize it through the power of the Holy Spirit. God has given the brain to be creative in thinking, don't push that responsibility back to God. ‘The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer’. Proverbs 30:25.
Have you wondered how Joseph quickly developed a survival master plan for Egypt? Selah!
Prayer
Lord, fully explore your power in me through creative thoughts in Jesus name
7. A Christian is not exempted from temptation: Take it or leave it, as long as we exist in this mortal body, we will be exposed to temptations. Jesus became prone to temptation because he had on the mortal body, and the devil only left him for a while. So face the reality and get ready to always stand in God through God and for God.   ‘These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world’. John 16:33.
How are you coping with the world? Selah!
Prayer
Lord, help me to always be victorious over the temptations of this world
8. A Christian is not a changer but only a change agent: Many Christians have gotten hocked to unbelievers either in marriage, business or friendship with them, believing that they can change them only to later regret. No fellow man can change anyone except the Holy Spirit. Be wise! ‘No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day’. John 6:44.
Are you sincere enough in any relationship? Selah!
Prayer
Father, make me a true change agent in Jesus name.

What a Christian is

1. A Christian is expected to show love: We really don't need to go into the definition of the different kinds of love but as a Christian, a deep sense of compassion is expected for a fellow human irrespective of color and faith. You are not to disdain a sinner but his sin. Love then is practical and will show in the way you treat others. Mathew 25: 35-40; “For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.  “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’
How do you treat people around you? Selah!
Prayer
Father, let the love of Christ fully radiate in me.
2. A Christian is a leader: When the Bible describes us as light what do you think it means? Lights are for clarity, directions and guidance.  So every Christian bearing the light of God is expected to be the one to give leadership by lifestyle. It's only strange today that darkness even lead the light How strange! 1 Timothy 4:12; ‘Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity’.
Are you a good example? Selah!
Prayer
Lord, let my light shine to the darkness of this age.
3. A Christian different: Exactly! A Christian is different and is expected to do everything differently from the world. Our standard is Christ in heaven and not a star on TV.  John 17:16 ‘They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Who influences what you wear, eat and say? Selah!
Prayer
Lord, let me never loose sight of the cross of Calvary
4. A Christian is limitless: After God gave Jesus Christ, His precious and only begotten Son for us as ransom for sin, the capacity of man to obtain anything from God became limitless. However, Christian because of their limited reasoning capacity often limit their God. Well, I still don't know what God cannot do for his children who truly belief in Him.    Romans 8:32 ‘He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things’?
When you pray, do you actually expect God will answer? Selah!
Prayer
Lord, whatsoever limits your works in my life, take them away today in Jesus name

5. A Christian is a role model: Not much talk, let's just digest the following scriptures.
1 Timothy 4:12: Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
2Chorinthians 3:2: Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
Mathew 5:14: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on the hill cannot be hid.
Mathew 5:16: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
What do your neighbors say about you? Selah!
Prayer
Father, make me light indeed in Jesus name.

LIVING BREAD - SERIES 4: THE SEX GATE //BY: NEJO HARRISON

credit:google.com
Vol. 18.10.39

GATES:
What is a gate? A gate is an opening on the wall of a building that serves as a point of entry and exit to confined place.  It is where traffic (activities) and determined and controlled. It serves as a unit of security determining what activities take place in the protected area.

The security and safety of a place depends largely on the strength of the gate/doors that opens to the place. We have seen that naturally a fenced house having a gate sends  a no-go-area message to everyone who passes by, no one seeing a fenced compound with the gate/door shut, goes close except he has something important to do in there, It is not so with a house without a gate, it is opened to all manners of activities, a man with insanity can carelessly pillow his head on the corridor of the house and pass his night before anybody wakes up and disappears. A thief can as well drop stolen items and go his way, strangers popped in and out unchecked because there are no gates or because the gate keepers are asleep or out of work, but a house closely secured is free from unwanted interference. A wise enemy thrives to conquer at the gate because once the gate is opened or the wall is broken, the subjects in there are disarmed, hence the need for strong gate keepers whose work is to ensure the gate is kept shut against intruders.
Joshua 6: 20- 21, So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the PEOPLE WENT UP INTO THE CITY , EVERY MAN STRAIGHT BEFORE HIM , AND THEY TOOK THE CITY.... the Gate is opened the city was taken no wonder dangerous men were assigned to watch the way to Jesus' tomb to prevent his disciples access .

There are gates at different levels in the Spirit and in the physical. Below is a list of some
Nation gates. Joshua 6:1,
City gate. 2 Kings 14:13,
Family Gates where the father is the keeper (Exodus 12:7)

There are PHYSICAL GATES and there are SPIRITUAL GATES.

But the latter is going to be our emphasis because everything represented in the physical is an adoration of a spiritual message. Every physical thing in the kingdom stands for something in the realm of the spirit and the spirit realm is real, more real than the physical realm seen with our optical eyes.
Spiritual gates that open up to our lives
Gates occur at different levels of life ranging from individual life gates, family gates, community gates, city gates, national gates to planet gates (having earth gates). You will see that in each of them, they are in plural forms, e.g man's life gate-S, not gat-E, because every good building contains more than one gate, one sometimes at the front, another at the rare in case of disaster, robbery, fire disaster, and a door is not accessible, another will be used.

And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. Exodus 12 : 7 and then life gates, including the head gate, the eye gate, the mouth gate, the ear gate, the heart gate and SEX GATE which is the emphasis of this message, all these are the doorways to a man's life
 SEX GATE
Sexual intercourse is the mating together between a male and female partner through their respective sex organs, this enhances intimacy between two individuals, not only does it play the role of reproduction, but gives pleasure and satisfaction, leading to soul bonding. It is one of the most effective passages/doorways through which the devil gain access into human life. Through this medium, there is practically nothing the devil cannot do to the destiny of a man (or woman) who is sexually loose. It does not matter how violently he can pray or how gifted he is in Spiritual gifts, he becomes open to Satan's activities all the time because of this loose gate. Many people today especially the youths and the teenagers,  have become victims, carriers and embodiment of legions of demons today while some have their destinies thwarted all because they fail to lock up this gate that has made giants fall like mere men and men of velour die like chicken e.g Samson. Judges 16v1-19.

Marriage is used to communicate God's way of bringing us into communion and partnership with the nature of Christ through the Spirit Every arrangement of God is capable of giving life if rightly applied and capable of bringing death if approached wrongly... The same tree of life brought about death, the same word that gives life killed the unproductive fig tree. The intention of God for sex is that it should be practiced between married couples. God forbids it between unmarried men, not between friends, between business associates, not even between men in courtship, not between boyfriends and girlfriends, only between married couples. That is the standard of God, anything outside that is a SIN.
Genesis 2: 24. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
They Shall CLEAVE... This is all encompassing. Cleave, fuse and join together and shall become ONE FLESH, this does not end with wedding ceremony, but a lifetime process. The outcome of the fusion is to make TWO, not three or more, not one, but two. The intention of God for sex is making two become one, the oneness is not in merging them together, but that though they be two, but are now one Spiritual inseparable person, such that even after the man leave the woman physically and he travels, there is the remains of that person he has left inside of her and he goes to where he is with the component part of the woman.... One person leaving in two separate bodies....
1 Corinthians 6:15. Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. v16. What? Know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? For two, saith he, shall be one flesh. v17. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
Don't you know your bodies are the members (parts) of Christ? How come is it possible to associate this parts with harlot? Verse 16, do you not know that joining with a strange partner makes you become one body with him/her? Aramic Bible translation puts it as, anyone who CLEAVES with a harlot comes into oneness with her. The word helotry there does not only talks about one who engages in sex as a business, but activities of sex outside wedlock… He says it is a means of joining. The oneness here means he becomes partaker with her, so that all that is her constituent does not just diffuse to him, but becomes fully embodied in him. So that when A and B, come together, they no longer become A/B But they become A's B and B's A, that is, A becomes B's and B becomes A's. Hmmm... They therefore fulfill this scripture that Apostle Paul searched out by the Spirit of God. A wife does not have the right over her own body, but her husband does. In the same way, a husband does not have the right over his own body, but his wife does... 1 Corinthians 7:4. Hmmm... The implication of this is that, A can no longer say I own my body, neither can B, because A is already part of B's body and vice versa, because he already through intercourse has shared part of his components, his being, his entirety to the partner. He is now two people in one and so is she, my wife carries my wisdom, I carry her dimensions too, she carries my presence and I do of her too...This is God's intention of making two become one, he gave us a practical experience of this to become partakers of that very nature of Christ, that is, having the life of Christ in us, we access that through fellowship and Intercourse with the Holy Spirit, through the fellowship/communion with the Spirit, the gift of Spirit which is also called character of Christ (nature/life of Christ) is manifested in us.. So a woman through fellowship with her husband takes the nature and character of the man. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the PROMISES that enable you to SHARE HIS DIVINE NATURE and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires. 1 Corinthians 1:4
Satan knows this secret of oneness of two becoming one, so he came in and the oneness that is supposed to take place among people who have come under wedlock and cannot be disjointed, he brings the oneness among men that mostly will not join. So he can cause one of his children who is a carrier of demons or other cabbages, to be joined to a child of God, defiling him in the process.
Friends, I like you to know that two persons are in context for possessions of your body, the Spirit of God and Satan. When you through sex welcome such activities, Jesus vacates naturally, he does not struggle for space.
1 Corinthians 6: 15. Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot?
Meaning that, I will rather leave. Jesus will never struggle for indwelling, then you hear him say in Rev 20:3, I stand at the door knocking again. Satan has taken advantage of this gate to penetrate the life of many young people today, some cannot even control the urge anymore because it's no longer a natural urge, but a spirit calling for it.

Dear sister, any man who is desperate to see your nakedness as the condition to marrying you is nothing but an agent of the devil in disguise. It does not matter if he is costumed in suits, he could be your youth pastor or choir coordinator. He is under the influence of Satan. You have to lock your gate and keep the key with Jesus until that glorious night, you are too precious to open up to that careless man who has not even found his bearing with God who will only include you in his confusion. This body of yours belongs to the Holy Ghost. He bought it with a price, the blood of Jesus. If you want to know the value of a thing, consider the cost on it, the cost that purchased you was the BLOOD OF JESUS, you have been bought with a price, you no longer own your body, it belongs to the one who died for you. Jesus the owner, is jealous over it. I hear every day from sisters, up till today how that brothers condition the term of marrying them to sex, why not be that different lady that will say to that player boy to go away and watch as he loses you into better hands, do not be terrified that you will not find one to marry you, I say it's not true. Dear brothers, you appear so decent and spiritual, and sisters trust you, but you take advantage of their innocence, as the coordinator in one post of duty or the other, your secret work shall soon be visited and rewarded in the open.

Many today have become partakers and partners with things they never bargained for all because of the looseness of their sex gate. They only bargained for a little enjoyment, all to have come into lawful partnership and union into generational patterns and covenants that be in the life of the other partner, the ones they knew not and they wonder how certain things came into their life, please know that you become partaker with whoever you sleep with, no matter how many or few they are. May I ask you? Can you count the number of people you have partnered with? If each one carried at least two devils and you have come into fellowship through sex with 3, I believe you know what that amounts to. The entirety of sexual intercourse either in or outside wedlock is to make two become one body... Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh. 1 Corinth. 6:16

GRACE BEYOND THIS WORLD (Part 2) // BY: OPOMULO ABIMBOLA NITA

THE PRESENT-Grace into good works
Titus2:11
Grace produces works. It is God that woks in us both to will and to do. For grace to be effective in our lives, we need to be a participant. Once we were slave under the old master [sin and devil].For the years that man had spent with the former master, he has learnt some characters, life styles that are not in relation to his new master’s policy. Looking at Leviticus 25v47-54.We discovered that the master has only bought the man and took him out of Egypt but has not been able to take Egypt from him [Israelite journey is a good example]. Any little challenges, they remember the way they use to do, eat, and behave while in Egypt. The man need to unlearn his previous lifestyle to obtain the new lifestyle of whom that has purchased him. It is only those that took upon themselves the new lifestyle of God among the Israelite that left Egypt entered into the promise land. This is known as transformation and conformation and it is a process; children are born but they are not given the inheritance until they become son (Galatian’s 4:1-7). Trust is earned, not given by emotion. Jesus earned the trust of God because he learnt by obedience.
We grow in grace more and more as we conform to the image of Christ because Christ is full of grace. Grace produces good substance .One of the purpose of grace is not to generate or condole or develop a habitual practice of sin but to kill it.
1Peter 1:17.If you can see clearly as a believer and having an understanding of the work of grace on the cross, there is an attitude we must exhibit which is FEAR OF GOD.
Does fear has any connection with grace? YES. Any man who understands the work of grace on the cross must live in fear because of this very word FATHER.
What does He judge? .He doesn’t judge or accuse you but looks for product of grace in your life; His works.
2 Peter 3:14-‘wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things [i.e. things ahead now] be diligent [work] that ye may be found of him in peace without spots and blameless’. Any man who can see clearly ahead will live in fear with all diligence. This is not unto the unbelievers but to those that are purchased by grace. Grace is telling us in Titus 2:10 to deny ungodliness and worldly lust, to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world.
Grace produces works (Ephesians 2: 10). It is God that works in us both to will and to do. You have to be very careful to produce this work in fear. Any grace without work is not grace. When you encounter grace it produces works. The works of the law cannot bring you to Christ. You can’t equate grace and the law. In fact the only man who fulfilled the works of the law is Jesus Christ and it was because he was righteous and in/through his righteousness we became righteous not by works but by grace. Ephesians 2 vs 3-16.When God gives you this grace; he expected this grace to produce works. God is not barren. He is a God of reproduction .When the Judge comes, he’ll identify his own by the product of the works, that’s why the bible says live in fear and be very careful in the kind of products you produce by your work. Revelations: 2 - 3. The letter wrote to the churches was about their works. He said emphatically that if your work is not equaled to that work of grace given to you that you should REPENT. He knows what he has deposited in you. You must make haste with every effort and keep examining yourself to make sure that the works of grace is not absent. Taking a deep look into the parable of the seed sowed [the produce of the earth]]. We discovered that God is ultimately interested in the result/harvest that is product of works that are complete. Where is the distorted message of grace of today coming from?  Looking into the parable of the banquet, there was a wedding feast; people originally involved gave excuses for not coming. The master of the feast sent out men to invite as many as they can see outside there in which they did and garment was given to them as a means of identification.  As the master of the feast went about inspecting row by row, he was inspecting for work of grace but lo and behold he found a man without a wedding dress and sorted it out.
Some modern preachers likes the crowd unlike the Lord Jesus. God is very specific; no wonder grace is teaching us to produce good fruit. Why this? Because the master will inspect. God doesn’t inspect you at the coming to the cross; he says come as you are to Christ. He never judges you after because he expects the grace in you to produce good fruits. Grace does not leave you alone but builds you. It creates in you what the master wants .Romans 6:12; 2 Thessalonian 2:17; 2 Peter 1:9-10. He that lacks the product [works] of grace is blind and cannot see afar off [the glory that is preserved for us]. The product of grace allows you to see afar.
What makes us as a Christian to stand when everything is gone is what is ahead of us by the glory that shall be revealed. No wonder some Christians forsake God and curse him, when things are rough; this is because they lack vision. Such can’t see the cross. Abraham in his days when God called him and showed to him his glory, he did not erect a permanent building but a tent, this allowed him to continue to look afar and moved always. Most people build on the things of this world which will soon pass away thereby laying them down to one place.
2Peter 1:10.Give diligence to make your calling and election sure; the way to make our calling and election sure is by our products of works. Pastors cannot save you because they themselves is trying to make their own election sure, likewise your parents, your brothers and sisters. We must exhibit the fruits of the Spirit .Gal5:19-23 and let go the works of flesh. For if ye do these things ye will never fail; your Christians life will be firm. The heart of God is bleeding for the church.
GRACE UNTO GLORIFICATION - THE FUTURE
1 Peter 2:13
The last focus of grace is the glorification. (Romans 3:9-10, Ephesians 2:5-7, 1Peter 1:3-5).The grace you obtained now is to make you receive the exceeding riches of grace to come. The grace of God points towards the end. What grace has for us according to 1Peter 1:4-5;
·         Grace produces us, made us Christ heritage.
·         Grace made us to sit together in heavenly places.
·         Grace makes us God’s master piece.
·         Grace gives us incorruptible inheritance, undefiled and that faded not away.
This is the dying wish of God for us. This glory has nothing to do in this present hour but shall be revealed at the last minute. The purpose of God’s grace is in the future and he wants us to have a clear vision of it. The glory that God wants for us is not heaven itself but the glory is in heaven. In other to get it you have to enter into heaven. Romans 8:18-19[present time suffering]. What grace preserved for us is far better than whatever we have now or the best thing in this world.

False teaching of grace
1.       Once saved is forever saved or once saved is always saved. Philippians 2:12 says we should continue to always work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Also Romans 6us-7 shall we continue in sin that grace may abound ‘God forever forbid it. As a Christian, living in sin, you are under the authority of the devil you cannot see the dying wish of God in heaven. Such Christians living in sin is still under condemnation. Romans 8:1-4; Note: Those who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit are those that are warning to us. 2Peter 3:15-18. Most of this people uses Paul’s write up and misinterprets them. I guess Apostle Paul in heaven will be looking at them and back to God and says oh my father that’s not what I meant. Brethren let’s beware else you also find yourself in the wrong teachings. The true grace in which you stand, you can fall from it so grow in grace. Husbands, wives and children, youths, adults, at home, working place, church, society .Let us live according to Titus 2:11 and Hebrews 5:22. Free from condemnation .Hebrews 5:19-22
2.       There is no record of repentance in the New Testament for the believers .Repentance is for the unbelievers. This means as a Christian you don’t need to repent and repent again even after committing one sin or other.
Hmmm ‘’’ There’s a clear instruction that the bible said repent to believers .Jesus himself said it. Revelation is the book of revelation about Jesus Christ. The message of repentance in the book of Revelation was written to the believers not unto unbelievers. The word repent occurs ten times .Jesus was the one talking to John the beloved there and He dedicated seven letters to the churches. He wrote this letters of repentance to the churches, the body of Christ; in churches that were not living right .He mentioned it eight times and four times outside the letter. Revelations 16:9 and 9:21
There is a clear difference between repentance and asking God for forgiveness. God want his people to repent not asking for forgiveness always.
3.     Hebrews 4:16.To come boldly into God’s presence .You can’t just enter God’s presence boldly after you have committed sin, it is not done. It is being rude. The way the false teaching put it is that since the bible has said it, you don’t need to be broken or have a contrite heart. Just come and He [God] will pardon you. This is a fat lie from the pit of hell.
The boldness the bible talked about here is the assurance and confidence we have in Christ after [note the word after] being broken to obtain grace for help in time of need. Psalms 51:1-17, this is the perfect example of how to be broken before God when we commit sin. You have to acknowledge your transgressions. Verse 17 of Psalm 51 says the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. God has despised a lot of people that have come to him and will continue to despise if there’s no genuine brokenness. Brethren whatsoever are right, true and just think about this.
What God is saying about those that truncate or distort the teachings of grace? 2Peter 2:17-22, Revelations 3:10. We must understand that God’s word is sacred. .They are in bondage and a servant of sin .They are under the legal right of the devil because sin has given the devil authority over them. Their later end is worse, except of course if they repent and truly follow the sound doctrine of God.
Let’s be careful

Thanks

Grace – Graciousness (as gratifying), of manners, or act (abstract or concrete, literal, figurative or spiritual, especially the divine influence upon the heart and its reflection in the eye, including gratitude): acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious), joy liberality, pleasure thanks (-s,-worthy)
What we take grace for is correct but not sufficient. For example saying grace is an unmerited favour. Grace goes beyond gifts. Grace is situated inside of God. You cannot separate Grace from God. That is grace and God is inseparable. Grace has always been but not fully revealed. Grace is not something far away but is encapsulated in us because we are in Christ (John 1 vs 1-5, 1 Peter 5 vs 10). Grace is the mystery about man’s redemption. Going into grace properly, we will be using the books of Peter as our foundation and build on it. The letter of Peter was mainly about grace (1 Peter 5:10-13). Our God is a God of all grace. Grace is a core teaching because without proper understanding of it, we will fail as a Christian. The teaching of grace is very important because it gives a Christian stability. Clear understanding of grace makes you to stand in a platform where you can visualize all parameters (1 Peter 5: 12). Grace is not an event but a time frame starting from the suffering of Christ to the glory that would follow. Grace describes the sequence of God’s redemptive plan. I will say Grace is divided in three distinct part;
        I.            The Past - Grace unto salvation which entails the suffering of Christ. The suffering of Christ entails
a)      The Cross
b)      The resurrection
1 Peter 1:18-21, 23, 1 Timothy 3:16 and Romans 3:23. The concept of redemption is about purchase or buying back. Redemption in Greek is ‘alzoraczo’, the verb from AGORA which means a market place. Blood of Jesus is the summary of the cost paid on the cross of Calvary for the redemption of man. The blood is the life of God himself. How did man get to the point of buying back? Man came to the point of buying back when Adam yielded his right to the devil when he sinned or rebel against God. Sin makes man an article of trade (Romans 7: 14).
The only person that can satisfy God is God himself (Ezekiel 18: 14, John 3; 18, Romans 3; 19, Mathew 20; 28, 1 Timothy 2; 6). In essence, no man can rescue another man. God does not buy us back alone but to buy us out completely. ‘EX-AGORAZO’ which means to buy out (Galatians 3; 13, 4; 5). According to Leviticus 25; 47-54, revealed how man can be redeemed or bought out. A man can be redeemed through the following criteria
1, He must be a male.
2, He must be the man’s kinsman.
3, He must be a free man himself
God is our creator, we belong to him and for these criteria to be met, God himself has to come to the world. He sought to redeem man back to himself (John 1; 1-6). Grace brings about redemption (Ephesians 1; 1-12). God came in human form to deliver us from the bondage of sin. He went through pain, he was beaten, spat upon, smitten and mocked by people he created, stripped of his robe, and a flatted crown of thorns was placed on the head and was crucified. He said it is finished and immediately, the devil’s grip on man was finished (1 Peter 4; 1-2). This means Christ has paid our debts completely. Grace is the basis by which God forgives our sin and is powered by the blood of Jesus Christ that he shed on the cross of Calvary.
The Resurrection
The resurrection of Christ brings man under God inheritance. (1 Peter 5; 3). Man became God’s inheritance by Grace. Man is no longer under devil’s hold (Mathew 27; 53, 28; 18). All power is given to Christ both in heaven, on earth and beyond. There is difference between being set free and being made free. ‘Christ has not only set us free but clears our records i.e. he made us free. Grace makes you new specie. (Romans 5; 1-2, 8-21). Therefore, every believing Christian is a product of Grace (1 Peter 2; 10, 24-25). .Man was dead in sin but after grace met man, man became dead to sin and alive in Christ.
What more then to grace after redemption?
