THE PRESENT-Grace into good works
Titus2:11
Grace produces works. It is God that woks in us both to will and to do. For grace to be effective in our lives, we need to be a participant. Once we were slave under the old master [sin and devil].For the years that man had spent with the former master, he has learnt some characters, life styles that are not in relation to his new master’s policy. Looking at Leviticus 25v47-54.We discovered that the master has only bought the man and took him out of Egypt but has not been able to take Egypt from him [Israelite journey is a good example]. Any little challenges, they remember the way they use to do, eat, and behave while in Egypt. The man need to unlearn his previous lifestyle to obtain the new lifestyle of whom that has purchased him. It is only those that took upon themselves the new lifestyle of God among the Israelite that left Egypt entered into the promise land. This is known as transformation and conformation and it is a process; children are born but they are not given the inheritance until they become son (Galatian’s 4:1-7). Trust is earned, not given by emotion. Jesus earned the trust of God because he learnt by obedience.
We grow in grace more and more as we conform to the image of Christ because Christ is full of grace. Grace produces good substance .One of the purpose of grace is not to generate or condole or develop a habitual practice of sin but to kill it.
1Peter 1:17.If you can see clearly as a believer and having an understanding of the work of grace on the cross, there is an attitude we must exhibit which is FEAR OF GOD.
Does fear has any connection with grace? YES. Any man who understands the work of grace on the cross must live in fear because of this very word FATHER.
What does He judge? .He doesn’t judge or accuse you but looks for product of grace in your life; His works.
2 Peter 3:14-‘wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things [i.e. things ahead now] be diligent [work] that ye may be found of him in peace without spots and blameless’. Any man who can see clearly ahead will live in fear with all diligence. This is not unto the unbelievers but to those that are purchased by grace. Grace is telling us in Titus 2:10 to deny ungodliness and worldly lust, to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world.
Grace produces works (Ephesians 2: 10). It is God that works in us both to will and to do. You have to be very careful to produce this work in fear. Any grace without work is not grace. When you encounter grace it produces works. The works of the law cannot bring you to Christ. You can’t equate grace and the law. In fact the only man who fulfilled the works of the law is Jesus Christ and it was because he was righteous and in/through his righteousness we became righteous not by works but by grace. Ephesians 2 vs 3-16.When God gives you this grace; he expected this grace to produce works. God is not barren. He is a God of reproduction .When the Judge comes, he’ll identify his own by the product of the works, that’s why the bible says live in fear and be very careful in the kind of products you produce by your work. Revelations: 2 - 3. The letter wrote to the churches was about their works. He said emphatically that if your work is not equaled to that work of grace given to you that you should REPENT. He knows what he has deposited in you. You must make haste with every effort and keep examining yourself to make sure that the works of grace is not absent. Taking a deep look into the parable of the seed sowed [the produce of the earth]]. We discovered that God is ultimately interested in the result/harvest that is product of works that are complete. Where is the distorted message of grace of today coming from?  Looking into the parable of the banquet, there was a wedding feast; people originally involved gave excuses for not coming. The master of the feast sent out men to invite as many as they can see outside there in which they did and garment was given to them as a means of identification.  As the master of the feast went about inspecting row by row, he was inspecting for work of grace but lo and behold he found a man without a wedding dress and sorted it out.
Some modern preachers likes the crowd unlike the Lord Jesus. God is very specific; no wonder grace is teaching us to produce good fruit. Why this? Because the master will inspect. God doesn’t inspect you at the coming to the cross; he says come as you are to Christ. He never judges you after because he expects the grace in you to produce good fruits. Grace does not leave you alone but builds you. It creates in you what the master wants .Romans 6:12; 2 Thessalonian 2:17; 2 Peter 1:9-10. He that lacks the product [works] of grace is blind and cannot see afar off [the glory that is preserved for us]. The product of grace allows you to see afar.
What makes us as a Christian to stand when everything is gone is what is ahead of us by the glory that shall be revealed. No wonder some Christians forsake God and curse him, when things are rough; this is because they lack vision. Such can’t see the cross. Abraham in his days when God called him and showed to him his glory, he did not erect a permanent building but a tent, this allowed him to continue to look afar and moved always. Most people build on the things of this world which will soon pass away thereby laying them down to one place.
2Peter 1:10.Give diligence to make your calling and election sure; the way to make our calling and election sure is by our products of works. Pastors cannot save you because they themselves is trying to make their own election sure, likewise your parents, your brothers and sisters. We must exhibit the fruits of the Spirit .Gal5:19-23 and let go the works of flesh. For if ye do these things ye will never fail; your Christians life will be firm. The heart of God is bleeding for the church.
GRACE UNTO GLORIFICATION - THE FUTURE
1 Peter 2:13
The last focus of grace is the glorification. (Romans 3:9-10, Ephesians 2:5-7, 1Peter 1:3-5).The grace you obtained now is to make you receive the exceeding riches of grace to come. The grace of God points towards the end. What grace has for us according to 1Peter 1:4-5;
·         Grace produces us, made us Christ heritage.
·         Grace made us to sit together in heavenly places.
·         Grace makes us God’s master piece.
·         Grace gives us incorruptible inheritance, undefiled and that faded not away.
This is the dying wish of God for us. This glory has nothing to do in this present hour but shall be revealed at the last minute. The purpose of God’s grace is in the future and he wants us to have a clear vision of it. The glory that God wants for us is not heaven itself but the glory is in heaven. In other to get it you have to enter into heaven. Romans 8:18-19[present time suffering]. What grace preserved for us is far better than whatever we have now or the best thing in this world.

False teaching of grace
1.       Once saved is forever saved or once saved is always saved. Philippians 2:12 says we should continue to always work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Also Romans 6us-7 shall we continue in sin that grace may abound ‘God forever forbid it. As a Christian, living in sin, you are under the authority of the devil you cannot see the dying wish of God in heaven. Such Christians living in sin is still under condemnation. Romans 8:1-4; Note: Those who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit are those that are warning to us. 2Peter 3:15-18. Most of this people uses Paul’s write up and misinterprets them. I guess Apostle Paul in heaven will be looking at them and back to God and says oh my father that’s not what I meant. Brethren let’s beware else you also find yourself in the wrong teachings. The true grace in which you stand, you can fall from it so grow in grace. Husbands, wives and children, youths, adults, at home, working place, church, society .Let us live according to Titus 2:11 and Hebrews 5:22. Free from condemnation .Hebrews 5:19-22
2.       There is no record of repentance in the New Testament for the believers .Repentance is for the unbelievers. This means as a Christian you don’t need to repent and repent again even after committing one sin or other.
              Hmmm ‘’’ There’s a clear instruction that the bible said repent to believers .Jesus himself said it. Revelation is the book of revelation about Jesus Christ. The message of repentance in the book of Revelation was written to the believers not unto unbelievers. The word repent occurs ten times .Jesus was the one talking to John the beloved there and He dedicated seven letters to the churches. He wrote this letters of repentance to the churches, the body of Christ; in churches that were not living right .He mentioned it eight times and four times outside the letter. Revelations 16:9 and 9:21
There is a clear difference between repentance and asking God for forgiveness. God want his people to repent not asking for forgiveness always.
3.     Hebrews 4:16.To come boldly into God’s presence .You can’t just enter God’s presence boldly after you have committed sin, it is not done. It is being rude. The way the false teaching put it is that since the bible has said it, you don’t need to be broken or have a contrite heart. Just come and He [God] will pardon you. This is a fat lie from the pit of hell.
        The boldness the bible talked about here is the assurance and confidence we have in Christ after [note the word after] being broken to obtain grace for help in time of need. Psalms 51:1-17, this is the perfect example of how to be broken before God when we commit sin. You have to acknowledge your transgressions. Verse 17 of Psalm 51 says the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. God has despised a lot of people that have come to him and will continue to despise if there’s no genuine brokenness. Brethren whatsoever are right, true and just think about this.
       What God is saying about those that truncate or distort the teachings of grace? 2Peter 2:17-22, Revelations 3:10. We must understand that God’s word is sacred. .They are in bondage and a servant of sin .They are under the legal right of the devil because sin has given the devil authority over them. Their later end is worse, except of course if they repent and truly follow the sound doctrine of God.
Let’s be careful

Thanks

GRACE BEYOND THIS WORLD (Part 1) // BY: OPOMULO ABIMBOLA NITA

credit:google.com

Vol. 18.06.37
Grace – Graciousness (as gratifying), of manners, or act (abstract or concrete, literal, figurative or spiritual, especially the divine influence upon the heart and its reflection in the eye, including gratitude): acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious), joy liberality, pleasure thanks (-s,-worthy)
What we take grace for is correct but not sufficient. For example saying grace is an unmerited favour. Grace goes beyond gifts. Grace is situated inside of God. You cannot separate Grace from God. That is grace and God is inseparable. Grace has always been but not fully revealed. Grace is not something far away but is encapsulated in us because we are in Christ (John 1 vs 1-5, 1 Peter 5 vs 10). Grace is the mystery about man’s redemption. Going into grace properly, we will be using the books of Peter as our foundation and build on it. The letter of Peter was mainly about grace (1 Peter 5:10-13). Our God is a God of all grace. Grace is a core teaching because without proper understanding of it, we will fail as a Christian. The teaching of grace is very important because it gives a Christian stability. Clear understanding of grace makes you to stand in a platform where you can visualize all parameters (1 Peter 5: 12). Grace is not an event but a time frame starting from the suffering of Christ to the glory that would follow. Grace describes the sequence of God’s redemptive plan. I will say Grace is divided in three distinct part;
        I.            The Past - Grace unto salvation which entails the suffering of Christ. The suffering of Christ entails
a)      The Cross
b)      The resurrection
1 Peter 1:18-21, 23, 1 Timothy 3:16 and Romans 3:23. The concept of redemption is about purchase or buying back. Redemption in Greek is ‘alzoraczo’, the verb from AGORA which means a market place. Blood of Jesus is the summary of the cost paid on the cross of Calvary for the redemption of man. The blood is the life of God himself. How did man get to the point of buying back? Man came to the point of buying back when Adam yielded his right to the devil when he sinned or rebel against God. Sin makes man an article of trade (Romans 7: 14).
The only person that can satisfy God is God himself (Ezekiel 18: 14, John 3; 18, Romans 3; 19, Mathew 20; 28, 1 Timothy 2; 6). In essence, no man can rescue another man. God does not buy us back alone but to buy us out completely. ‘EX-AGORAZO’ which means to buy out (Galatians 3; 13, 4; 5). According to Leviticus 25; 47-54, revealed how man can be redeemed or bought out. A man can be redeemed through the following criteria
1, He must be a male.
2, He must be the man’s kinsman.
3, He must be a free man himself
God is our creator, we belong to him and for these criteria to be met, God himself has to come to the world. He sought to redeem man back to himself (John 1; 1-6). Grace brings about redemption (Ephesians 1; 1-12). God came in human form to deliver us from the bondage of sin. He went through pain, he was beaten, spat upon, smitten and mocked by people he created, stripped of his robe, and a flatted crown of thorns was placed on the head and was crucified. He said it is finished and immediately, the devil’s grip on man was finished (1 Peter 4; 1-2). This means Christ has paid our debts completely. Grace is the basis by which God forgives our sin and is powered by the blood of Jesus Christ that he shed on the cross of Calvary.
The Resurrection
The resurrection of Christ brings man under God inheritance. (1 Peter 5; 3). Man became God’s inheritance by Grace. Man is no longer under devil’s hold (Mathew 27; 53, 28; 18). All power is given to Christ both in heaven, on earth and beyond. There is difference between being set free and being made free. ‘Christ has not only set us free but clears our records i.e. he made us free. Grace makes you new specie. (Romans 5; 1-2, 8-21). Therefore, every believing Christian is a product of Grace (1 Peter 2; 10, 24-25). .Man was dead in sin but after grace met man, man became dead to sin and alive in Christ.
What more then to grace after redemption?

#HYMNALLY: ALL WILL I TRUST IN GOD // BY: OGUNSUYI OPEYEMI

Vol. 18.05.36
credit:google.com

1.         Lord teach me your ways to grow
Your very way to go
            For my wisdom is nothing to show
And my understanding nothing but shallow

2          Now I’ve come to the junction of help
A time when no one can help
For many a friend cannot be of use
                                                        A league of family try but of no use

3           Fear of shame grips me
Humiliation stares me in the face
Men are about to mock me
Even friends have me deserted

4.          But the Lord I know is my portion
Yes, the Lord I trust is my refuge
O Lord, I believe is my help
He alone I acknowledge as my pillar

5          Sure the Lord will not put me to shame
More will the Lord lift me up
Pure will God’s mercy be towards me
All will I trust in God

4           Let me show you the Lord is great;
Goliath with sword, David with stone
Let me show you God is powerful;
Pharaoh on chariot, Moses on foot
Let me tell you my God is merciful;
Saul the persecutor, Paul the great preacher
Let me proof God is the wisest;
Today Samaria in famine, tomorrow in plenty

5           Surely God’s favor will be mine
Totally, God’s love will envelope me
For God will prove my life sure
For the Lord will make me a testimony

Selah!

Mathew. 7. 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. - Bible Offline
  1. ASKING PRAYER.
 Asking prayer means to inquire, to make demands, to receive. This level of prayer is for those who just appear before the Father when they have needs. They are getters, they are those who see prayer as a means of submitting their numerous list of needs. They are easily frustrated when there's delay in answer in respect to their request. Asking prayer is for ‘babies in Christ’ who ask and ask and ask. You often see them in prayer meetings, the only time they appear before God is when they are in need of something. They see God as a giver and they are the type you see on December 31st. The Bible says, it is more blessed to give than to receive, but these people are receivers only. However, because of the faithfulness and love of God towards men, He gives them when certain conditions are met. Jesus placed a low level of importance on this prayer; if the only time God sees your face in His presence is only when in need, you need to step up to the next phase of prayer.
  1. SEEKING PRAYER
 And He That Seeks Find. Finds what? I once read Tommy Teeny’s book titled: 'Prayer of a GOD CHASER'- Who is a God chaser? A God chaser is a God getter, seeking God when He can be found. This talks about time, I have discovered there are two best times to find God according to the bible, early in the morning and in the cool of the day. This is a level of prayer for those who are hungry for God. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst for righteousness..... THEY SHALL BE FED, those who will not be stopped or stop at nothing until they come into fellowship with God. Those who will give it all it takes to be in the circumference of His presence. Those consumed with burning hunger and dry thirst for God, those that have transcended from getting the GIFT to getting the GIVER. Those who do not see prayer as a medium to submit their endless list of request but a way of honoring divine call to fellowship. Call to the father of Lord Jesus Christ, the father of Glory, to the enumerable company of angels. The heavenly Jerusalem, the same place Moses entered and communed with God forty days and forty night; the ‘askers’ (the crowd) were at the base of the mountain , but the ‘seeker’ (Moses) was called up to the mountain, in the smoke where God is. Those askers had to wait until the seeker came back with results. I wish your prayer henceforth will be ‘Lord I no longer want to appear before you all because of the gifts you have to offer me but because there is a need for me to fellowship with you (God)’.
 I feel the urge to talk about this a little more. For one who wants to know the original plan of God for man, let him go to the book of Genesis. We were never created to be askers but for fellowship. God told me something, He said ‘I did not call man up for fellowship, but I God came down to man to fellowship with him. God came in company of His angels to the garden to FELLOWSHIP with man. When we lost it, we became askers. We became short of that glory. How many of us know that the commandment of God that the day man eat of the forbidden fruit HE SHALL DIE is not about physical death, but it is ‘A SEPARATION FROM GOD’? Man became separated. God never came down to him anymore but thank God redemption restored the fellowship, then we have the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, be with you all.
It is a kind of prayer in which we appears before God in ministering to Him. We read in our Bible that the apostles were ministering to God, singing praises, worshipping him, forgetting their many problems, enjoying the communion and God asks, son, daughter, ooh! You are here what can I do for you? You replied, father, I just came to worship you, to tell you how wonderful you are and He says, OK, I also have some wonderful packages for you when going; these when opened, is multiple fold of what your brain could have ever asked in prayer.
For further study on SEEKING PRAYER, read Psalms 42:1 and Jeremiah 29:12-13
  1. KNOCKING PRAYER
This prayer means praying out our burden. This directly addresses the matter of PRAYING EFFECTIVELY and PRAYING EARNESTLY. The most important ones or the highest order of levels of prayer is KNOCKING PRAYER. Going back to our text in Matthew 7:7 and verse 8, ‘for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened’. And to everyone that KNOCKS, IT SHALL BE OPENED, What shall be opened? Doors and/or windows. I will use the phrase ‘knocking prayer’ and ‘earnest prayer’ interchangeably. Sometimes, I have had to leave what I was doing and RUN to my gate to see who was knocking. I mean I RAN not walk especially when you have some impatient visitors at your gate who came knocking tirelessly. No man feels comfortable under a pressing and persistent knock on the door, you cannot try to pretend it is not affecting you. You cannot pretend to be having a nice sleep when someone is banging hard on your door.
Knocking prayer will cause God and arise and even His angels to rush down when someone rightfully applies it, Jesus explained this with a parable to show how significant it is.
 Luke 11:5-8
5. And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; 6. For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? 7. And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. 8. I say unto you, though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. - Bible Offline.
From the above passage, it’s a question and answer
He goes to his friend at what hour of the day? Midnight hour talks about a time of Rest
Remember, Jesus said the day is for work, the NIGHT COMES WHEN NO MAN SHALL BE ABLE TO WORK. That same hour when no man should work was when the man came. He was not qualified for attention. Now, what was his request? Loaves of bread. Was his request genuine? Yes.
But his time of request. Was it right? NO. We know that when a good thing is done wrongly, it automatically becomes wrong. What was d normal answer the man should give him, I mean the owner of the house, according to the text? It is late, Heaven has closed, Angels are resting, and Gabriel is snoring. He worked all day, everywhere is shut down. I CANNOT RISE UP AND GIVE THEE. Let's read verse 8 now, I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. - Bible Offline.
Look at it closely, I love the first sentence. Though he will not rise up because of friendship, that they are friends is not going to make him stand up, it is not only to be a friend of God as far as this matter is concerned. Then what will dis man consider? Look at how this version puts it, ‘I tell you this--though he won't do it for friendship's sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence’(Holman Christian Standard Bible). I love my bible than any other book in the world. No book is as interesting as it.
I tell you, even though he won't get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his friend's persistence, he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
He now says, but because of HIS PERSISTENCE
He keeps knocking and knocking to the point he becomes a disturbance, and God says, come, if we do not answer this guy, we will have no attention to attend to other matters. Please, what exactly does he need? -because of his continuous, tireless and persistent knocking, God will have to respond. We need to see what Gods response will be like, He will give him AS MANY AS HE NEEDS.
I am talking about a generation of people that will not give up praying until so meting happens, until heaven responds, men that will not lift their head until God says, sit, eat and cheer up, the answer is here. Men that will wrestle with God all night until there is a question of TELL ME YOUR NAME. Men that will press hard on heaven door until the anointing is poured out, that will hold the peace in heaven until there is a physical manifestation of God's response on the earth. Praying hard until something happens, knocking hard until God sees your determination. Banging hard until God comes and respond to your call. EARNEST KNOCKING PROVOKES OPENING OF HEAVEN DOORS. Everybody prays but only a few pray earnestly. Some give up at the verge of God's response, some allow heaven to rest with their 'If it is thy will' prayer. I tell you today, if you need healing, it is the will of God, knock for it, you need prosperity, it is His will knock for it, don’t stop praying and believing God until it becomes evident in your life.
Luke: 22. 44. ‘And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground’. - Bible Offline.
He prayed MORE EARNESTLY being in agony, MORE EARNESTLY, MORE INTENSELY. He intensified the knock, the more the agony, the more he prayed.
Elijah stilled not only rainfall, but DEW also. I tell you that was the power of an earnest prayer.

1 kings 17 only tells us Elijah said by my word but by revelation, God revealed in James that Elijah did not just achieve that by mere saying but He prayed EARNESTLY THAT THERE BE NO RAIN AND HE PRAYED AGAIN AND RAIN FELL. James: 5. 17Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. - Bible Offline.

Happy Easter

                                                                                                                              Vol. 18.02.35

Hallelujah, it has been You, God.
  All praise and thanks to you mighty God for your faithfulness so far, it has been You, Lord. Father we say thank you Lord. We give you praise for seeds of evangelism you have sown in the hearts of men, making us fit, useful vessels in your vineyard. We exalt You Lord for your infinite mercy and Grace that counted us worthy to be soul's harvesters in your kingdom; depopulating the kingdom of hell and populating the kingdom of God almighty. Glory, honor, praise and adoration to your name most high.

Grace abounding
Four years back you gave us a vision of promoting your kingdom, by earnestly interceding for missionaries globally and seeking your face continually for our nation. The Change of Taste Group (COT) has been a source of blessing, for many have come to see and know God through continuous intercession and Holy Spirit inspired publications on the bulletin; "The QUIVER". Glory be to God for we have not yet lost sight on the important vision of interceding for missionaries across the world as well as for peace and righteousness in our land. Indeed, we are growing; from a small group of less than twenty to an army of up to three scores. Nevertheless, we still welcome more to join the business of intercessory prayers as well as Sowing into mission work. Indeed, God has been so faithful and we praise you Lord for grace that has taken us thus far.

COT MISSION SUPPORT FUND  By God's Grace, through COT MISSION support, God has given us grace to sow into mission work and lives has been blessed, for through this medium, we are able to support missionaries, orphanage homes, as well as the less privileged.; God loves a cheerful giver, seed time and harvest time shall not cease, for when you give it shall be given unto you in good measures...
Let me use this opportunity to appreciate all members of COT group for their labor of love. God, will bless and reward you mightily. Nonetheless, much still needs to be done, for we are in the end time and so many soul's still need to be reached. Indeed it’s a busy season for missionaries as the harvest is in top gear for the master is near. Therefore, they need our prayer more than before and much more now they need our seed of support. To all administrators of the group, God bless you mightily. At the end I hope we can say as Apostle Paul that we have fought the good fight and kept the faith.
Happy 4th anniversary,
