Indeed!
What shall we say?
It’s of the Lord’s mercies that we
are not consumed, because his compassion fail not. (Lamentations 3:22)
It’s
on this note I say a happy new year 2916 to everyone. Of a truth and either we
like it or not, we are product of God’s mercies to have survived the year 2015;
with all the turmoil, deaths, civil unrests, economic hardships, wars and many
more. Unto the Lord be the glory for the many great things he has done for us
individually, as a family, a church, a society and as a nations. Nigerians
particularly has many reasons to thank God for making us to survive the
predicted year of doom. May His mercies endure forever.
Now
in the New Year, the need for grace is unprecedented. More than ever before, we
need the grace of God to race through the year. Without doubt, these are hard
times, but just has He said to Apostle Paul,
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made
perfect in weakness……. (2 Corinthians
12:9)”. Hence, in the weakness of human limitations and economic
uncertainties, let us hope and cling to the grace of God in Christ Jesus,
knowing that we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. Nevertheless,
grace should not be an excuse for laziness, lawlessness or lethargy for we shall
not continue in sin and expect grace to abound. Therefore, we have to work out
our salvation with fear and trembling, seeking first the kingdom of God and the
righteousness and gracefully expecting all other things to be added unto us.
We
also thank God for how he has been using this bulletin to bless many. We therefore,
use this medium to appreciate all who has contributed; those who has labored
with the help of the Holy Spirit to author the inspirational articles, we
appreciate you and know your rewards are sure in Christ Jesus. To the several
reviewers who take their time and resources to scrutinize these articles and
make them into a formidable arrow to deliver the sharp message of God, even
without any remuneration or compensation (sometimes we even forget to say
‘thank you’), God see your labor of love and will bless you beyond your
imagination. The readers are so important. Without you who reads, shares and
sometimes comment, we will not be here. Indeed we know your blessings are
limitless. All of these successes will not be if not for the editorial team God
has put together to make The Quiver a reality; they burn night oils to keep
God’s work going; may God bless you mightily.
Haven
all said, we look forward to a 2016 of better relationship. The Lord is still
in the business of speaking to his people through several medium such as
inspirational thoughts and writings. Hence, I believe God is set to use The Quiver
to touch more lives this year. We invite you to keep touching lives through
this medium; you need not hold it back as someone somewhere may be desperately
in need of that words. We trust God to touch more lives under the different
